The module for ultrasonic slitting is intended for continuous ultrasonic slitting and sealing of thermoplastic materials, knitted, woven and non-woven materials such as nylon, polyester, polypropylene, acrylic, some vinyls, urethane and synthetic blends. The ultrasonic slitting process prevents the knitted and woven materials from unraveling by sealing the slit edges with ultrasonic energy.
The module for ultrasonic slitting is offered as an assembly for special equipments where it is a part of an automated system. The module operates with a SOOONIC® ultrasonic generator converter, booster, horn, and a cutting anvil. The type of the ultrasonic slitter and the requirements to cooling air are determined by the application.
